There was nothing to separate Derby County and Norwich City at half-time in Wednesday night’s Sky Bet Championship clash at Pride Park Stadium.

Both sides had chances to break the deadlock but it remained goalless at the break.

Frank Lampard made just the one change to the side that started the 1-0 defeat at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Scott Malone came in at left-back, with Craig Forsyth dropping to the bench.

It was Malone’s first start since the 2-1 win at Hull City just before the last international break.

Meanwhile, defender Alex Pearce was recalled to the squad and is named among the substitutes, in place of Andre Wisdom.

Mason Mount had recovered from the illness which hampered him during the Bolton game, so was passed fit to start.

Bradley Johnson lined up against his former club.

Curtis Davies (hamstring) returned to action for the under-23s on Monday night but did not feature in the 18 as he works his way back to full fitness.

George Evans (knee) is back in training but not yet ready to be involved. Long-term absentee Marcus Olsson (knee) remains sidelined.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke named an unchanged team and bench following his team’s 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the weekend – the Canaries’ fifth successive win in all competitions.
