It feels like we say this every summer, but there are going to be big changes at Leeds United over the coming weeks.

After the underwhelming managerial stints of Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom combined to give Leeds a disappointing 13th finish, Marcelo Bielsa was brought in last month and the club are working to assemble a squad for what they hope will be a bone fide promotion charge next season.

Upon his arrival Bielsa said he had identified ‘four or five’ areas to strengthen, but almost importantly, he wanted to shed some of the deadwood, saying that there were as many as 15 players too many in the squad.

So how are Leeds getting on so far? Here’s a list of all the ins and outs so far at Elland Road…

The Chelsea midfielder will spend the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Elland Road after the club snapped him up as their first signing of the Marcelo Biesla era.

The England Under-21 international spent last year at Middlesbrough, but struggled for game time under both Garry Monk and Tony Pulis as he failed to build on the momentum of his excellent two-year spell at Vitesse.

A central midfielder by trade, Baker has the versatility to fit in as a holding midfielder, box-to-box marauder or even as Bielsa’s enganche this season.
