Leeds United are in hot pursuit of prolific Hull City striker Abel Hernandez and Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley – and supporters are have expressed their delight on Twitter.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim the Championship giants have made Hernandez, 27, their priority centre-forward signing and are drawing up an offer to entice him to Elland Road when his contract expires at Hull this summer.

It is said that United want to secure Hernandez on a free transfer after he snubbed the offer of a new deal at Hull, with his goal return during the last four years making him an in-demand player for Championship clubs.

A separate report by the Yorkshire Evening Post explained that the club have also identified Bartley as a prime target as they look to reinforce their defence and have already made preliminary enquiries about a deal.

The Swansea centre-back spent a hugely successful season on loan at Leeds in 2016-17 and was a key player of the side that finished seventh under Garry Monk.

Leeds fans have been frustrated by some of the players the club have been linked with this summer, but are unanimous in their desire for deals to be done for Bartley and Hernandez.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
