KYLE Edwards is determined to display the differences in his game to Darren Moore following his return to West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies youngster, who scored the Club’s first goal of pre-season in the 3-0 win at Barnet on Saturday, spent the second half of the 2017/18 campaign out on loan at League Two side Exeter City.
Edwards made 28 appearances for the Grecians and scored two goals, one of which came in the League Two play-off final at Wembley where they were beaten 3-1 by Coventry City.
And the promising forward is keen to showcase the improvements he has made having had a first taste of senior football.
He said: “It’s good to be away with the first team.
“We’ve been doing a lot of ball work and running in order to get sharp for the season.
“I need to show the difference between the player I was before going out on loan and the player I am now.
“Anyone who goes on loan will tell you the same thing. As soon as you are playing men’s football the game is a lot different.
“You learn how to deal with game situations and I feel as though I have matured a lot since being away.
“The gaffer knows what I can do because I have worked with him before at U23 level.
“I just have to remind him of what I can do and show him that I am capable.
“My target is to be around the first-team squad. If I can become a regular then that would be a plus.”……..
