Grimsby Town came from behind to draw at Morecambe on Saturday – and it was enough to secure their EFL status for next season.

With four/five games remaining, owing for postponements, the Mariners are one of only two clubs in the 72 to know they are definitely staying put in the same division for 2019/2020.

The other is Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Lincoln City may have already clinched promotion from League Two, while Ipswich Town are set to drop from the Championship – but 68 clubs can still clinch promotion, reach the Play-Offs or be relegated.

Of course, some are more likely than others – with Luton Town holding a substantial lead at the top of League One, for example.

As you can see, the Mariners – who finished 18th in the table last season, with 51 points – are mathematically certainly to remain in League Two ahead of 2019/2020.

An unlikely high of eighth place, with a potential low of 22nd, remain possible this season.
