FULHAM have won the race for Nice’s Ivory Coast midfielder Jean-Michael Seri ahead of a queue of rivals.

And the Craven Cottage outfit are also signing team-mate Maxime Le Marchand as part of a double deal.

Seri is rated at around £25 million in the swoop and was also chased by Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund before choosing the chance to play regularly in the Premier League.

Fulham has been looking for extra grit in the middle of their talented team and it is a major coup to land the player who helped Nice to great heights in France.

Le Marchand is a surprise extra. He can play left back and centre half and will become part of Slavisa Jokanovic’s squad.

The 28-year-old was a key member of the Ligue 1 side last season having started 29 league matches and five in the Europa League.
