Jurgen Klopp could be willing to make Danny Ward his number one choice between the posts at Liverpool FC next season, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Liverpool FC boss has been suitably impressed by Ward’s performances in recent months for the Reds and that he could now be prepared to give the 25-year-old a run in the first team at Anfield.
Liverpool FC’s goalkeeping situation has been a source of constant speculation this summer after Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final.
The Reds have been linked with a host of shot-stoppers this term as Klopp looks to bolster his options, with the likes of Alisson and Jan Oblak touted as possible targets.
However, the same story says that Klopp has been pleased with Wales international Ward’s development at the Merseyside club, and he is now prepared to give him a chance in the first team next season.
Liverpool FC will be looking to mount a challenge for the Premier League title next season as they bid to try and win their first trophy under Klopp.
The Reds ended up in fourth place in the Premier League table last season.
