Liverpool were 1-0 winners over Brighton to move seven points clear at the top of the table and one player drew particular praise from fans
Supporters have heaped praise on Fabinho as the Brazilian helped his side keep a clean sheet in just his second game as a centre-back.
Mohamed Salah’s second-half strike from the penalty spot was the difference between the two sides in a hard-fought victory at the AMEX Stadium and Fabinho was instrumental in the win.

The summer signing from Monaco was deployed at the heart of the back four alongside Virgil van Dijk for the trip to the Seagulls as a result of Dejan Lovren’s hamstring injury.
Lovren was forced off in the FA Cup defeat at Wolves on Monday night and his absence, as well as those of Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, who was only fit enough for the bench, led to Fabinho making his second consecutive appearance as a central defender.
But he passed his first test with flying colours, with Reds fans hailing his performance and many claiming he should be ahead of Lovren in the central defensive pecking order.
Here’s how supporters reacted to his display in the win on social media:
That's the beauty of having a defence you can rely on to keep a clean sheet. Van Dijk and Fabinho imperious at the back.
