Liverpool FC are planning a move to sign Grzegorz Krychowiak as a replacement for Emre Can this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Reds are looking for a long-term replacement for Can, who signed for Juventus on a free transfer this summer.

The same report says that the 28-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defensive midfielder has been singled out as a top target for the Reds as they look to add to their squad this summer.

Krychowiak spent last season on loan to West Bromwich Albion and the Poland international is now apparently one of Jurgen Klopp’s top targets for Liverpool FC this summer.

According to the same story, Krychowiak wants to clarify his situation at PSG and has no intention to sit on the bench on most weekends.

Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Klopp looks to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term as they ended up the campaign without a trophy following their Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid.
