Liverpool vs Brighton: Massive split over midfielder’s performance by Russell Hughes

On Saturday afternoon Liverpool took on Brighton at the Amex and came away from the game with a 1-0 win.

It was not an easy game for the Reds, who played out the game in a similar manner to the reverse fixture at Anfield. The first half was a dull one, and ended 0-0.

However, right after half time Mo Salah won a penalty in the box and slotted it away past Brighton keeper David Button. The goal puts Salah in the joint-lead for most goals in the Premier League.

It was an important three points for Liverpool as they are now seven points clear at the top of the table above Manchester City and Tottenham who both have a game in hand on the Reds.

Nevertheless, onto the player ratings for the match.

To be fair, Alisson Becker did not have much to do at all against Brighton. Alisson had to made one real save in which he parried out for a corner, and did not even have the ball that
