Manchester United will make a move to try and sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic if Paul Pogba leaves the club this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils are considering a move to bring the 23-year-old Lazio midfielder to Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
The same report says that Manchester United will turn to signing the Serbia international should Pogba end up leaving Manchester United this summer.
Pogba was criticised for failing to produce consistent performances for the Red Devils last season but he has shown glimpses of his best form for France at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
The same story says that Juventus may make a move to try and bring Pogba back to Turin this summer if Miralem Pjanic leaves the Italian club.
And that would prompt Manchester United to make a move to try and sign Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer.
Manchester United have already made three new signings this summer as Mourinho prepares for his third season in charge, with Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant arriving at Old Trafford.
