West Ham took another step towards safety after a late goal from Andy Carroll earned them a point against Stoke City at home.

In a game littered with errors, disallowed goals and the odd questionable decision, the Hammers were able to further the distance between themselves and the drop zone.

Stoke battled hard and would have thought they had all three points secured when Joe Hart’s error allowed Peter Crouch to open the scoring with just 11 minutes to go.

However, less than five minutes after coming off the bench, Carroll scored an excellent goal to take the Hammers to 35 points.
