as reported by daily express,
That’s the view of BBC pundit Chris Sutton who saw West Ham goalie Hart spill a Xherdan Shaqiri shot to allow Peter Crouch a tap-in.
A late Andy Carroll goal meant it didn’t prove too costly as the Stoke clash finished 1-1 but the mistake was the latest of a long list for Hart.
Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope and Jack Butland are all battling for a place in England’s World Cup squad.
Gareth Southgate will pick three to travel to Russia in June and Sutton believes Hart should stay at home.
“There are three better goalkeepers than him,” said Sutton.
“You cannot take someone because they are a nice bloke and good in the dressing room.
“If England get two injuries to goalkeepers you need your third keeper to be strong. That is how it should be judged.
“[England manager] Gareth Southgate isn’t wondering if he is a joker, is he good in the dressing room? He is wondering if he is going to make a save and keep us in the tournament.
“After that, how can Southgate go away and feel he can trust Joe Hart in an England jersey again?”
Hart was England’s No 1 from Euro 2012 all the way through to Euro 2016.
However a number of mistakes in France two years ago, including allowing a long-range Gareth Bale free-kick past him, saw him struggle to hold onto his place.
The 30-year-old has 75 England caps but hasn’t been able to nail down a West Ham spot this season with Adrian occasionally chosen over him.
