Danny Rose Admits Spurs Players Really Don’t Enjoy Playing at Wembley

Tottenham defender Danny Rose has admitted he and his team-mates really don’t enjoy playing at Wembley, as the North London club’s stadium saga continues to rumble on.

Spurs were due to move into their plush new ground at the start of the current season, but several delays have seen them forced to continue with the national stadium as their makeshift home ground.

Despite the upheaval, Mauricio Pochettino’s men have gotten off to one of the best starts in their Premier League history, and saw off struggling Southampton 3-1 last night, but the match was slightly overshadowed by the amount of empty seats that were visible in the Wembley stands with the official attendance tallied at a paltry 33,000.

Not one to mince his words, Rose has gone public on his dislike for the stadium, and he claims he’s not alone.

Speaking via the Mirror, the England international explained: “It’s just not nice anymore. It’s lost its…I don’t feel it’s an honour to play at Wembley.

“We’re all itching to get in the new stadium and hopefully it’s not too much longer.”

Why do you think the atmosphere isn’t great when Spurs play their home games at Wembley?

And is Rose correct in his comments?
