Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly happy with his West Ham United squad and has no plans to dip into the transfer market in the new year.

The Hammers were one of the more active teams in the summer window, signing no less than 10 new players including the likes of Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena.

With the squad undergoing such a huge overhaul it took time for the Irons to find their feet under the Chilean tactician.

They started the season by losing their first four Premier League games – against Liverpool, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Wolves – but have turned things around following last month’s international break.

It’s because of a upturn in form which has altered Pellegrini’s view.

West Ham news website Claret & Hugh have reported that the former Manchester City, Malaga and Real Madrid boss believes he now has a first team squad which can compete at the top half of the table.

Furthermore, the report states unless injuries intervene there is no plan to buy or sell in January as Andy Carroll and Winston Reid should be available following injuries while Manuel Lanzini should return at some point in 2019.
