Wolves supporters have been making a lot of noise in recent times after seeing their side return to winning ways in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went into their meeting with high-flying Chelsea having failed to win any of their preceding six league games, in which time they managed to pick up just one point. And things didn’t look good for the West Midlands outfit when Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave the Blues the lead, only for goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota to seal a 2-1 success for Santo’s side, a result which moved them up to 12th place in the Premier League table.
As such, there have been many jubilant Wolves fans up and down the country in recent times, with the whole team likely to be coming in for much praise for their efforts in finally ending their testing recent run of form.
Yet no one epitomised the home side’s brilliance quite like defender Ryan Bennett, who is valued at £4.5 million by Transfermarkt.
The 28-year-old has been something of a lynchpin under Santo this season in starting all but one of their previous 14 Premier League matches this term, albeit he was dropped to the bench against Cardiff City last time out.
However, he returned to the team to great effect on Wednesday night by turning in yet another commanding display, especially defensively to help the hosts repel the attacking quality Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea have in abundance.
