A new Wolverhampton Wanderers book – for the fans, written by the fans – is being launched on Friday with view to raising more than £10,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
‘The Pack Is Back’, which has been compiled by life-long supporter Steve Plant, will provide a comprehensive look at the arrival of Nuno and the outstanding Championship winning season.
Unlike traditional publications, it has been put together in non-chronological order so you turn the page and go from the thoughts of a current player to the passionate and colourful views of fans who have travelled the length and breadth of the country supporting the men in ‘Gold and Black’.
It also includes personal insights from Robert Plant, captain Connor Coady and TV presenters Johnny Phillips and Jacqui Oatley, as well as a foreword from former goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and a closing article from Wolves Managing Director Laurie Dalrymple.
“This is arguably one of the most exciting times in our recent history and people are really keen to savour every minute and relive some unforgettable moments, from the nine-man win at Boro and the masterclass against Sheffield United to the last minute drama at Cardiff and Neves’ wonder strike against Derby,” explained Steve, who wrote the hugely popular ‘They Wore The Shirt’ book last year.
