Exeter City manager Matt Taylor says work is already underway in terms of adding to his squad during the January transfer window.
The City chief enjoyed a successful recruitment process in the summer, bringing in the likes of Nicky Law, Jonathan Forte, Aaron Martin, Lee Martin and Jimmy Oates to St James’ Park, whilst complimenting those full-time signings with loan recruits Dara O’Shea, Chiedozie Ogbene and Tristan Abrahams.
In under a month’s time, the January window will open and Taylor looks set to add to his ranks as soon as he is able to do so.
“Work has already been done and it has bene done for a number of months now, areas we feel we want to strengthen and areas we feel we can improve on and we will try and so some work in the January window,” the Grecians boss said.
“We felt our recruitment was strong – in a limited period – in the summer and if it is strong again, then it is positive for all involved at the club.
“It is never that easy because, if you identify a good player, then you can be sure 20-30 other managers have done exactly the same thing.
“Unfortunately, we have no head of recruitment or chief scout, we do it all off our own backs, so it is time consuming, but it is worthwhile when we do pick up good players.”
